A Fast CN SB Tanker Freight Train Through Allenton, WI on 10/10/23 @ 11:54pm
Driving home from work Tuesday night (10/10/23) heard some chatter on my scanner and when I got to Allenton and crossed the tracks, the CTC Signal showed a Yellow light, looked to my North and didn’t see anything. So I was just going to keep driving, but something told me to turn around and go back. As I was crossing the tracks again, I looked to my North, and my scanner went off for a SB freight, when it went over the Detector for MP 131.2 on the Canadian National Waukesha Sub. So I pulled into an empty parking lot and got out and walked over near the Railroad Crossing, when I got closer, the crossing lights and gates were activated. At this time was sure what kind of Train was coming and heading south, I thought that it might have been the CN L510 local freight, given what time it was, just before midnight. The Train was an all Tanker Train. 2 Locomotives up front and a DPU Locomotive on the back, not sure what the road numbers were on the 2 front locomotives, but I did get the road number for the DPU locomotive and it was CN 2956 a GE-ES44AC.
