Eton boating song in swing

I, Vladimir Kozhekin was not able to attend Old Etonian Assosiation Dinner on the 23rd of Nivember 2012 , because British Embassy Moscow refused to grant me a visa. They somehow failed to look into the bank returns that I sent to them and they didn't bother to even google Vladimir Kozhekin to find out that I do in fact have strong social, economic and family ties to Russia. To compensate my absense at the Dinner - here is an improvissato performance of Eton Boating Song by my favourite Moscow jazz players. Sorry for the poor quality - the band is terribly busy this time of the year, and only had an hour to rehearse and record and they never heard the song before, except for may be Hugh Laurie's short performance. Recorded at Turgenev Library, Moscow, Russian Federation by Mir Station Blues Band feat. Roman Grinev (bass), Alexandre StarOverOff (guitar) and Garik Bagdagjulyan (drumms). Filmed by Slava and Kristina, film editor Andrej Babayev, great thanks to Irina Shabanova and Denis Korobkin. Special thanks to: Tom Wiseman-Clarke, who gave me my first harmonica in 1993 Palash Dave for the Moscovites 1992 performance at BB Angus Graham-Campbell for encouraging my first steps in music Charles Noel-Buxton for the Led Zeppelin Remasters CD Alasdair Mac Lean for keeping in touch and for "what a shame!" sms. Thanks to Eton college for learning me how to pray (20 years passed, I still pray in English!) Buster, I miss you See you all in Moscow guys, any problem with Russian visa - be sure to give me a call. kozhekin@mail.ru skype: kozhekin
