Kuretaki Gansai Tambi Watercolor As Gouache?
Happy Friday-Jr, friends! I'm obsessed with my Kuretaki Gansai Tambi Watercolour set. I purchased them for my art supply haul video at Kensington Art Supply in Calgary (my favourite!), and the shop-person told me that you could use this watercolour set like gouache paints because the pigments are so rich and creamy, so I'm trying that out here today because I totally forgot to pack my gouache paints (womp womp). If you're not sure what the heck gouache is, it's basically a water-based paint, similar to watercolour, except that it's meant to lay on much thicker and more opaque. It dries matte (like watercolour), but it's opaque, like acrylic. Anyways, I really like adding touches of detail to my watercolour painting with ink, gouache, or markers, and I think I was able to achieve that with this set fairly easily. So thank you, good sir at the art store for this recommendation! Supplies: -24 set of Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolour Set -Silver Black Velvet Size 8 Round Brush -Princeton Select Size 0 Liner Brush -Porcelain watercolour palette -Arches 140 Cold Press Watercolour Paper If you want to paint along, I've made you a colouring page below. I recommend printing it out on regular printer paper and tracing it onto watercolour paper if you're working with watercolour or gouache. https://friday-jr.com/bouquet-colouring-page ***Please be sure to subscribe & hit that notification bell so you don't miss an episode*** This episode was filmed, produced, and sponsored by www.studiolumayyc.com Hard As A Mother Podcast: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCeRJsWAOvIlISyfGQK7TZZA www.hardasamother.com Thanks for watching!
