BattleFlow Simulation of Omaha Beach landing in Normandy on June 6, 1944
The FORCES initiative and laboratory has created a new method to recreate and simulate alternative outcomes for past, present, and future battles. Using the BattleFlow mathematical model to simulate troop movements, encounters and outcomes inspired from fluid mechanics, the FORCES simulations can be used in training staff and commanding officers with past, present, or future battle scenarios. This video presents an introduction to the visual interface of the model. Developed in Unity, the simulations can be displayed in 3D on desktops or shown in full VR on head-mounted displays.
