iPad as FX Processor For Hardware Setup using Audiobus 3, Steinberg UR22, and Reface DX.

May this video quickly and editing skills are work in progress. But it should help you if you are trying to wrap your head around trying to use your iPad as an effects pedal/rack etc to play live. What I used in this video: Audiobus 3 (app, for iPad routing) Eventide Spring Reverb (app, effects) Eventide Rotary (app, effects) Steinberg UR-22 mk2 (audio/midi interface) Reface DX (hardware synth) iPad with camera connection kit Basically, I have two stereo 1/4-inch TS cables routed from the Reface DX to the front of the Steinberg UR-22, which was connected in the front of the interface. Then there are two 1/4-inch TS cables leaving the Steinberg UR-22 from the back to a Zoom Livetrak L-12 mixer out of view. The Reface DX also has a small breakout cable that allows you to route Midi out of the synth to the Midi in on the interface. Then a USB2 cable leaves the interface and connects to the iPad through a camera connector kit to the lightning connection. The main app you must have is the Audiobus 3 app for the internal iPad routing. My understanding is that AUX also works well as another option. Hope this helps someone/anyone!
