God commands husbands to love their wives. Men have to understand the great responsibility it is to be a husband. Should wives love husbands? Yes. But men are to love women like Christ loves the Church, which is the standard. The man is the provider, spiritual leader, protector, and companion of the wife. Ephesians 5:25-33 tells a man to love his wife and how to love his wife.
