Elliott Smith Single File Acoustic Guitar Cover
There seems to be a common misconception that Elliott played this song in Em. I hear it Fmaj and then Fm. There's a lot of open g string on a lot of the chords. I can't sing so this is just the guitar part so people can learn some of the genius chords he was using (who else could make put bflat min in the key of f major at the beginning and make it sound right?). He has two rhythm guitars going on the recording one on the left speaker and one on the right. One plays more of just d c g while the other seems to hit more of the 7 on the chord. so this is just an aproximation. i can't find any live video of him playing it but it sounds right to me. intro dm, c, g7, g, bflat min, verse Fm, Aflat, Bflat, C#9, Aflat, Eflat9, Bflat, C#9, Fm, etc chorus dm c g7 bflat min, dm c g7 bflat 13, dm c g7 g bflat min, g, bflat min outro is dm c g7 c#m
