Peres calls on EU to blacklist Hezbollah and restrict Lebanese group's ability to operate in EU

Israeli President Shimon Peres has urged the European Union to blacklist Lebanese-based Islamist group Hezbollah as he met with EU leaders in Brussels. Speaking at a news conference, Peres warned that any delays in the EU imposing sanctions would empower Hezbollah, which he said is playing a growing role in the conflict in Syria.
