US-China competition in focus at Asian Security Summit, with both states headlining the event

The Indonesian defense minister has voiced a peace plan for Ukraine, speaking at a major Asian defense summit in Singapore. Among his suggestions are a ceasefire, with the freezing of troops’ current positions, as well as the creation of a demilitarized zone and the deployment of UN peacekeeping forces. Other high-profile speakers are also present, with Chinese and US defense ministers headlining the event amid American-Sino tensions.
