Serb Fest 2011 Commercial Merrillville St. Sava
St. Sava's Serb Fest 2011 will be held August 5, 6, and 7th at the church grounds, 9191 Mississippi St., in Merrillville. Great Serbian food, music, entertainment, and dancing are all part of this cultural experience for the entire family. Sunday evening you'll be treated to a live dance and chorak performance. Children's amusements will be available on Saturday and Sunday. Historical Exhibit "Tamburitza Spectacular" will feature Milan Opacich's never before presented collection of rare tamburitza instruments, photos, sheet music, and artifacts. Be sure to visit the Serbian Bakery in the south wing and the "Tamburitza Spectacular" Exhibit in the north wing. Don't forget to purchase a chance to win one of 2 raffles: The BIG CASH RAFFLE paying out a $25,000 Grand Prize, and a Smithsonian Tamburitza Prima, hand - crafted by Milan Opacich.
