Poor Wi-Fi Video Streaming at 2.4GHz?

20 MHz Bandwidth Setting - One of several ways to improve 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi streaming video performance on older devices like the Roku which have no 5 GHz radio option. I’m this example with only the bandwidth change to 20 MHz, I improved Roku throughput from 31 Mbps to 36 Mbps. After a full optimization including switching to static assignment of Channel 1 (2402 MHz, 20 MHz BW), my Roku throughput went from 31 Mbps to 45 Mbps and I no longer experienced buffering issues with my Spectrum app. I based my decision to change to channel 1 based on number of access points in use on that channel as seen by my router/AP (18!) vs CH6 (21) and CH11 (16 + a CH8 & CH10 AP close to me). All measurements taken from 7-8AM.
