Rover R8 216 GTi 16v - Part 6 'Welding woes & decision time'

Part 6. Trying to decide on whether to repair the tailgate/boot lip closing panel or replace with a cutdown NOS panel. Long story short - the original closing panel is only 0.6mm thick and parts of it are rusty. Even the non rusty parts are thin enough to cut with scissors (yes really) and my old SIP Migmate 130 Turbo is a crude machine with lousy wirefeed control.
