Mama's Waltz
Peaceful Sadness. That is what I felt at the passing of my mother, Carol Stubbs. She was the strongest woman I knew, and taught me so much about life, love, faith, hope, and passion. She was not only my mother, but my friend, a rare and precious combination. She faught with leukemia for a year and a half, and before going to her heavenly home she channeled many miracles, touched many lives, and inspired me beyond belief. She is the one responsible for starting me on the cello, and always encouraged me in my pursuits; musical and otherwise. I composed this song while thinking of her last year, and she played it for the doctors from her hospital bed as soon as she got a recording. I played it for her again when I arrived to say goodbye, and it was one of the last things she heard before passing. I'll miss you Mama, this one's for you...
