So it should come as no surprise that Joey McDaniel is a whiz at both theater trivia and mixology. His online game nights are a hit; in fact, you might have recently enjoyed his latest event via Palo Alto Players. We are positively intoxicated with joy to welcome Joey to The Next Stage for another game night, City Lights-style! And you're all welcome to play via your screens. Joey has created one cocktail and one mocktail just for our event, with an "In the Heights" theme. Here are the recipes in case you'd like to imbibe along at home: ~Stanford by the Sea~ This title is in reference to a line from "In The Heights" where Nina sings about looking out at the sea from Stanford. This beautiful Cardinal red cocktail is built directly in the glass. Add ice and all the ingredients to a collins glass, stir until chilled, and garnish with a lime wheel. -2oz Gray Whale Seaside -Gin1oz Campari -4oz Blood Orange Soda -Healthy Squeeze of Lime -.5oz Simple Syrup ~We Drink Piña Coladas~ Again in reference to a line from "In The Heights," this a delicious virgin Piña Colada. Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until fully mixed. Garnish with fresh pineapple, bright red cherries, and an umbrella. -1.5oz Coco Lopez -1.5oz Pineapple Juice -One ring of fresh pineapple -16oz (three large handfuls of ice)
