What a view 😍 Dolphins, seals and even whales are known to make an appearance in the harbour – travelling on the ferry is a great way to spot them 🐬🐟🐳 Did you know In 2017, the Stockton ferry transported 44,000 customers over a single weekend for the Newcastle 500.. WOW ❓When was the last time you jumped on the Stockton Ferry❓ FUN FACTS: • The Newcastle to Stockton ferry service has been operating continuously since 1885 – that’s ferry services between Newcastle and Stockton for 135 years. • The ferry shaves at least 20 minutes off the travel time for those who commute into the Newcastle CBD. • The ferry travels 650 metres to connect Stockton and the Newcastle CBD – that’s the length of six and a half football fields • It takes about three to four minutes to travel from Newcastle to Stockton. They do this and back again 96 times every weekday!
