AMD Ryzen Frequency Scale - Temperature is Important for Ryzen 3000 CPUs
This video looks at AMD frequency and cold scale with full stock settings, using only Precision Boost 2 (NOT the same as PBO) and controlled temperatures. Support GN via the store! https://store.gamersnexus.net/ Article: https://www.gamersnexus.net/news-pc/3492-ryzen-cpu-thermals-matter-coolers-and-cases In this video, we manually manage temperatures between +84 degrees Celsius and roughly -80 degrees Celsius, showing incremental steps along the way to demonstrate cold scale. The end result is that we can learn how frequency behaves versus temperature on AMD Ryzen 3000 series CPUs, focusing most on the new R9 3900X (but also relevant to the R5 3600 and R7 3700X, etc.). The end result is that better coolers and better airflow cases will improve bottom-line performance, and so should be factored into component selection.
