Adding a printer in Linux

Adding my Canon MX410 to my Linux desktop. This is pretty much just done as a joke. I keep saying that many tasks in Linux are as easy or easier than they are in Windows. I don't understand why network printers remain as large of a pain as they are in Windows. This video is 17 seconds. I'm not even sure the Add Printer Wizard in Windows starts up in 17 seconds.
