Cybercrime response: Sberbank experience
In Russia, there are 300 mn bank cards for 150 mn people and one in three cards is issued by Sberbank. The annual turnover for the bank cards amounts to RUB40 tn, and that is not limited to only ATM cash withdrawals and payments in supermarkets. Almost half of all the bank card transactions are made online. With cyber criminals constantly developing new schemes to steal money, online payment fraud monitoring and cybercrime response becomes a strategic task for every bank.
