To me a little known Friml operetta, I don't recall hearing any of these selections before? From the liner notes I see it was a Republic Pictures release in 1947, that may be why. The story line follows a Russian Theme of a penal colony established by the Cazr in the California of 1830. What a story line? This second set of sides are: "Russian Easter Hymn"..."Love is the Time"..."One more mile to go".
