Mac OS X vs Windows 7 Boot Time
Rebooting Mac OS X and Windows 7 at the same time. Did this at Best Buy and the associate was amused at it all. (Since everyone is complain about the specs of the two) The Mac: It is a 27" iMac with 3.2GHz i3 processor, 4GB RAM, and a 1TB 7200 RPM HDD. Also the link to the Best Buy page: http://tinyurl.com/32l5hka Windows: 14" Toshiba laptop with 2.2GHz i5 processor, 4GB RAM, and 500GB 5400 RPM HDD. Best Buy link: http://tinyurl.com/2aoulsz This is actually a close test. The i5 on the laptop is actually faster than the i3 on the Mac. Also the speed of the hard drive will not affect the speed of the boot time. This is fully a OS comparison of boot time. PS: Is only for entertainment proposes.
