Doug Torres Senior Tuba Recital
Welcome to the Senior Tuba Recital of Doug Torres!! My recital took place on Saturday, November 20, 2021 in the Elbin Auditorium of College Hall here on campus at West Liberty University. During the recital, I feature the music from Ralph Vaughan Williams, Clare Grundman, Antonio Capuzzi, Don Haddad, and Billie Eilish (During the Intermission, the program notes will pop up on the screen with a picture of the composer and/or the arranger) Here is the concert program (in order of performance): 1.) Movements 1-5 from "Six Studies in English Folk-Song" by Ralph Vaughan Williams and Arranged by Michael Wagner 2.) "Tuba Rhapsody" by Clare Grundman ---------- Intermission ---------- 3.) Andante from "Andante and Rondo from Concerto for Double Bass" by Antonio Capuzzi and Arranged by Philip Catelinet 4.) Movements 1-2 from "Suite for Tuba" by Don Haddad 5.) "No Time to Die" by Billie Eilish, Finneas O'Connell and Arranged by Scott Sutherland Thank you for taking some time to watch my Senior Recital. I want to thank all of the staff and faculty in the Department of Music and Theater here at West Liberty University for everything they have done for me these past 4 years. I especially want to thank Professor Evan Robinson, Dr. Gretchen Pohlman-Bassett, Leslie Garrett, Patrick Garrett, and Deborah Podolski Breiding. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for inspiring me and helping me become the future educator that I will be in just a few short months (Dec. 2022).
