1930s fiddle from Czechoslovakia Rescued by Schnefsky Played by Jeff Taylor (# 104)
(Violin # 104) This old Stradivarius style violin was probably made in the 1930s as the person I purchased it from said it was bought in 1940 and he was the original owner as a teenager. It had fallen into disrepair as he could no longer play it for the past decade or so. Thankfully it had no cracks but the seams needed to be reglued. As part of restoration it has received a new soundpost, bridge, and D'addrio Ascente strings, and the peg holes were made true. Jeff Taylor is a professional musician based in Toronto Canada. He is my music teacher at the Bradford Academy of Music, and volunteers to demonstrate the old violins that I restore.
