Aerosmith ~ Sweet Emotion

Aerosmith is an American rock band formed in 1970 by singer Steven Tyler and guitarist Joe Perry. They have since been considered one of the best-selling rock bands of all time, selling over 150 million records worldwide. The aforementioned duo was joined by bassist Tom Hamilton, guitarist Brad Whitford, and drummer Joey Kramer. In 1972, they signed with Columbia Records and the following year, they released their debut album, Aerosmith. Their follow-up album, Get Your Wings, spent 86 weeks at the top of the US charts. One of their most successful albums, "Toys in the Attic", was released in 1975 (#11 in the United States) and became even more successful after the re-release of the song "Dream On", which climbed into the top 10 of the singles chart (7"). In 1976, they recorded the album "Rocks" (#3) which went platinum, in 1977 "Draw the Line", in 1978 the live recording "Live Bootleg" and in 1979 "Night in the Ruts", after the release of which Joe Perry and Brad Whitford left the band. The remaining members of Aerosmith replaced them with Jimmy Crespo and Rick Dufay. In 1980, they released the compilation "Greatest Hits", an album that has sold 6 million copies to date. In 1982, they released "Rock in a Hard Place" and in 1985 "Done with Mirrors" while a year earlier Joe Perry and Brad Whitford had returned. With the album "Permanent Vacation" in 1987, they regained their lost popularity and had a great success with the albums "Pump" in 1989, "Get A Grip" in 1993 and "Nine Lives" in 1997. In 1998, they participated in the soundtrack of the film "Armaggeddon" with the song "I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing" which reached # 1 on the American hit list. They also released the album "Just Push Play" in 2001 and "Honkin' on Bobo" in 2004. By 2010, "Aerosmith" had sold more than 150 million copies, have 25 gold, platinum or multi-platinum albums and 4 awards Grammy, and since 2001 they have been members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. On November 6, 2012, their latest recording, titled "Music from Another Dimension", was released and the band embarked on another world tour to promote it.
