This is the quest which unlocks the ability to create Materia, a very useful add-on to your weapons with Materia slots in them, pretty nifty. :D There are other quests for Materia as well in that area, but they involve the Disciple of the Land level to be around 18 as well as the one I completed where that was Disciple of War & Magic. Pretty sweet.
