If you’re in the market for an SUV that has all the looks and power you might expect from an SUV, but also offers elements of a sports sedan, then the Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe would like to meet you. This powerful, attractive offering delivers a stunning design, innovative technology, and impressive drive power. Bold From Every AngleAt first glance, and from any angle, the GLE 53 is visually impressive. It has much of the imposing scale of an SUV —- large front grille and muscular front-end design, 22” alloy wheels and width to rival almost any SUV out there —- but with the expressive and sporty elegance of a coupe. The sloping rear roof and irresistible rear design with that hint of raised upwardly tilting aerodynamism will undoubtedly make people look twice. Mercedes-AMG continues to excel themselves in their details, with the GLE 53 Coupe fitting in perfectly. Its powerful lines, slim headlights, silver chrome front splitter and rear trim strip, as well as side skirts, trunk lid spoiler and other details painted in the same body color. Even the exhaust has that eye-catching chrome finish. It’s gorgeous when you first see it, but after a short time you will likely wonder about things like the 22” wheels. It looks dynamic, but is this really the place for such things? The wheels are encased in Yokohama Advan Sport 107V summer tires, while looking the part don’t deliver as much as you might expect on the utility front (more below). GLE 53 Coupe – When Looks are More ImportantFor a head-turning look that makes the right impression and projects success and style, the GLE 53 fits the bill perfectly. If you are serious about needing an SUV for its utility, however, you might want to consider the standard GLE SUV. Drivers of the GLE 53 are paying a premium for all this design superiority, and doing so at the expense of utility. Personally, it would work for me but perhaps not for a family of five. You pay around $4,000 more for the coupe model than you do for the standard SUV version of the GLE 53. For those athletic design changes, you do sacrifice some of the utility. Trademark Elegance – The GLE 53 Coupe InteriorWhen you’re going for the AMG model, you expect a higher standard of everything and the interior of the GLE 53 Coupe does not disappoint.
