Authors: Ali Alrubaiee - The University of Michigan Charles Beach - The University of Michigan Brendan Kailukaitis - The University of Michigan Konstantin Kovalchuk - The University of Michigan Iffat Saiyara - The University of Michigan Ian Thompson - The University of Michigan Edward Colone - The University of Michigan Friday July 24th, 2020 Title: WiFi performance monitoring with pSSID & WiFiMon Deployment Automations Abstract: This talk will present pSSID, a new approach to WiFi monitoring being developed at the University of Michigan. This solution leverages perfSONAR, Raspberry Pi, and the ELK stack to provide visibility into the performance and configuration of enterprise WiFi deployments. We will also be presenting our collaboration with Géant to develop deployment automations in Ansible for their WiFiMon project. More information on the software featured in this project can be found here: https://github.com/UMNET-perfSONAR
