If you want to help me make this channel better, please send me a CD-R with copyright free music what I can use for my tests....The more copyright free music I have the nicer my video's will be endrewd@hotmail.com When you compare the Pioneer SX-1010 with a Marantz 4300(2x100W) the Pioneer win. This Pioneer SX-1010 is completely recapped and over the Canton RC-L it just sound like a high end hybrid(tube preamp) amplifier. I still have the Pioneer SX-950 and SX-1250 but I will not test them before the recap so I can't say if they sound better. The SX-950 is from 1976 with 2x85W and the price today is 1000 euro. I think that the SX-1010 is the better choice in sound but it looks less impressive as the SX-950 because of the more visible knobs. In my opinion this SX-1010 should cost minimum 1000euro because it's fully recapped. When you can score a cheaper, not revised one, don't wait to long with recapping it because when you are to late with recapping more things will brake and in the end it will cost you more. They are already 50 years old so recapping is a must. If you live in the Netherlands I have a few addresses for you where you can professionaly recap your device close to your house. Specifications: The SX-1010 is Pioneer's top of the line FM/MW stereo receiver. Features include an FM front end with dual-gate FETs, ceramic filters and ics in IF stages for sharp selectivity, quadrature detection, phase lock loop (PLL) stereo demodulator, all IC equipped AM section with linear dial, balanced positive and negative power supply with heavy duty components, and a phono equalizer with wide dynamic range and extremely close tolerances. The twin tone controls permit precise shaping of sound and direct-coupled power amplifier supplies high output power with minimum distortion. Specifications Tuning range: FM, MW Power output: 100 watts per channel into 8Ω (stereo) Frequency response: 10Hz to 40kHz Total harmonic distortion: 0.1% Damping factor: 30 Input sensitivity: 2mV (mic), 2.5mV (MM), 150mV (DIN), 150mV (line) Signal to noise ratio: 65dB (mic), 70dB (MM), 95dB (line) Output: 150mV (line), 30mV (DIN), 1V (Pre out) Speaker load impedance: 4Ω to 16Ω Semiconductors: 3 x FET, 5 x IC, 73 x transistors, 41 x diodes Dimensions: 520 x 175 x 440mm Weight: 22.2kg Accessories: FM T-type antenna Year: 1974
