You get a much brighter projector, better battery life, better color reproduction and contrast, and onboard controls. Though it doesn't come with a mini-HDMI cable, you can easily find one for $6 on Amazon and only a limited amount of devices support MHL for mirroring. If you wanted to mirror your iphone/ipad you would still need to purchase Apple's proprietary cable.
