Auto-Editing A Movie: DJI Vs Apple

Auto Editing A Movie: DJI V. Apple Twitter.com/PBH365 IG @ PBH365 Second Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCChEZqw4rWuDRspzCUp1jpA Welcome everyone to this random video I decided to make! Last week when DJI unveiled the osmo pocket I instantly fell in love with this new product. As someone who has had a great experience with DJI over the previous years I could see it’s potential instantly! One thing that stuck with me however was the auto editing function that they included. Now this is nothing new considering the DJI apps have had this feature in the past, and Apple has had a similar auto edit feature in the past couple of years as well. Today I wanted to test both of these quick editing features by taking some drone footage from an episode of adventure Wednesday up in Vermont If you want to check that episode out in it’s entirety here’s the link: https://youtu.be/fyDPVtCnO2o Using the same footage I ran it through both the DJI app and also photos to auto generate a short film. At the same time I chose a short 30ish second song and edited just that into a short movie. In my personal opinion I think that these work well in theory however I feel as though they still need some work I’m sure there’s some algorithm that can be created to choose the shots that are too shaky and remove them when it’s generating the film. And As far as replacing a human for the editing process I think these programs are still a few years out Seeing these advancements in editing really gets me thinking about what will exist in years to come Will there ever be a day where a studio can film something and just upload all the shots into a computer and have it generate a full length feature film? Well just have to wait and find out I want to know down below in the comment section which app did the better job of creating a film? If you want to see more content from me then please check out my other videos and don’t forget to subscribe to my channel to see all that I have to offer.
