Apple announced a lot of things today. $3499 headset that will be talked about to no end for the next forever, new MacBook Air, new Mac studio, iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, and macOS updates, and the thing I was most interested in, the Mac Pro 2023 or Apple Silicon Mac Pro or the Mac Pro 8,1. Its shelf is whatever Apple decides it is, unlike previous Mac Pros, and while it has PCIe slots.... they come at a price. Here's my reaction as a Mac Pro guy in what must be record time for me. It really didn't feel like a developer conference at all, just a product showcase, but it's been that way for a while now.
