Klipsch SW-350 Subwoofer - Craigslist $120 - MSRP $350

Klipsch SW-350 Subwoofer - Craigslist $120 - MSRP $350 Average Guy HiFi Rating - 37.5/50 = 75% Demo Movie - Overlord (decided to use this move for all 3 of the Martin Logan Subwoofers that I reviewed) Website: https://www.paramount.com/movies/overlord Amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/Overlord-Blu-ray-Pilou-Asbaek/dp/6317578826/ref=sr_1_2?crid=2VA7V09XB54ER&dchild=1&keywords=overlord+4k+blu+ray&qid=1585097268&sprefix=Overlord+4%2Caps%2C270&sr=8-2 Klipsch SW-350 Website: https://www.klipsch.com/products/sw-350-subwoofer Type - Bass-reflex, rear ported Woofer - 8” fiber-composite RMS Power - 150 Watts RMS 350 Watts Dynamic Amplifier - Class D Frequency response - 31 - 120 Hz ±3dB Cabinet - Black Dimensions (H x W x D) - 15.5 x 12.5" x 17" Weight - 27 lbs. MSRP Value - $350 Where I Purchased - Craigslist Price Paid - $120 Condition - 90% (not included in the Average Guy Hi-Fi score) This subwoofer is in fantastic shape Quality - 7..5 This is a nice little subwoofer with better than average quality, given the low MSRP. The cabinet is nice and solid and the woofer feel nice and stout. Bass - 7.5 This “little” subwoofer puts out nice and quick bass. It is mush better suited in small to medium sized rooms and it can start getting a little too frantic, when asked to dig too deep. The bass is articulate and punchy but this definitely isn’t a deep-diver, like many of the subs I’ve recently reviewed. MSRP Rating - 8.0 Getting this performance for $350 is a really good deal. It was an even better value when they went on sale for under $300. Aesthetics - 7.0 I’ve never been a big fan of the looks of the Klipsch down-firing subs but this one looks fine, as it’s much more compact than the SUB-12 that I used to own. It won’t win any beauty pageants but it isn’t bad looking either. Just looks like a mid-entry level sub to me, which it is. Price Paid Value - 7.5 This is the same price I paid for the Monitor Audio BRW-10 sub I just reviewed and I l preferred the MA over this nice little Klipsch sub. Average Guy HiFi Rating - 37.5/50 = 75% Final thoughts - This great little subwoofer can be picked up on the 2nd hand market, quite frequently. Klipsch mush have sold a ton of them. This is a fantastic option for those looking to move past the HTIB systems but aren’t quite ready to jump into the deep-end of the home theater bass pool. The fact that they seem to be readily available used, add a second down the road to boost the performance. Other Equipment used: Episone ES-HT900-LCR-6, ELAN THP525-LS Surrounds, Denon AVR-X3300W Receiver, Marantz MM7055 Amplifier, LG C9 OLED 65” TV, Panasonic DP-UB820P-K 4K Blu-ray Player, Panamax M7500-PRO, Xbox One X Subscriber Count At The Time Of This Video - 775 (amazing!)
