How to setup Nvidia Optimus laptop with Acer XFA240 G-Sync compatible/adaptive sync/freesync monito
Here's the setting for Nvidia Optimus laptops connect to G-Sync Compatible / FreeSync / Adaptive Sync monitor: Laptop with Nvidia Optimus (Intel&Nvidia10Series) + Freesync monitor Gsync compatible (Acer XFA240) + latest Nvidia drivers + laptop's Display Port v1.2 output to Monitor's Display Port input Test result: Tested 144Hz FPS and Gsync test program on both Nvidia & AMD's test program that no tearing, no stutter or any screen defect found! Simply awesome!!! Tested games as well and work great! but remember to set in-game FPS limiter's FPS to lower than 144FPS (max VRR of the monitor) so Gsync would always work. (BTW make sure games' FPS is within the variable refresh rate VRR of the monitor to make GSync work properly) Sidenote: Nvidia Optimus laptop display output to "GSync Monitor" that GSync won't work due to Nvidia Optimus limitation, only the "GSync Compatible/Freesync monitor" would work with this setup
