"Press the MAP button to display the current location's map screen. Use the arrows on the touch screen to move around a map. When you start moving, a cross pointer appears. Stop when the pointer is where you want it and press the ENTER button on the Infiniti Controller. The directional keys on the Infiniti Controller can also be used to move around the map screen. To view the map in greater detail, touch the scale indicator on the screen and then touch THIS key to zoom in, or THIS key to zoom out. When a map screen is displayed, touching the MAP MENU key will show a list of additional options. Touch STORE LOCATION to store the current location in the address book to be used later as a destination or waypoint. Touch NEARBY PLACES to see a list of points of interest near the current location, such as gas stations and restaurants. Touch MAP VIEW to change the map orientation. Available options are: • 2D, • SPLIT 2D, • BIRDVIEW, and • SPLIT BIRDVIEW format. The 2D VIEW shows a map in the two dimensional form that is similar to a road map. The SPLIT 2D, also shows two maps in the two dimensional format, but shows a closeup of one and a wider view of the other. The BIRDVIEW map makes a route more recognizable because it elevates the landmarks and provides a panoramic view over a long distance. If you choose SPLIT BIRDVIEW, you can look at both views at once on a split screen. Touch MAP ICONS to toggle on or off various types of icons to display on the map. Touch STORE TRACKING to store the route that has been traveled from the starting point to the current location in the address book. "
