63 - Everyone is a leader?

Everyone is a leader! But what if I don't know where I want to go? I could end up going in circles. The only leader I want to follow is one who knows how to go to the place I want to go. Luke 19:1-48 All of us are leaders by default. We may not think we are. We may not want to be a leader. But if there are people in your life, you're leading them. You're leading them to a better place, a worse place, or no place. Years ago, I met a guy who played the character Moses in an old movie. You may have heard of him, Charlton Heston. He played the role of Moses in the movie, The Ten Commandments. I had him autograph an old VHS video tape. Moses had the job of leading people out into the desert so they could meet their God and pray with him and then take a two week hike to the promised land. But that two week hike turned into a Gilligan's Island style adventure and it took them 40 years to get there. When they did get there, they had offended God so violently that he only let a couple of families out of a million people enter into the Promised Land. Moses was a great leader but had terrible followers. To be a good leader, it helps to first be a good follower for awhile. We should all learn to follow the voice of the Holy Spirit. That's how we bring glory to God.
