iPad as second monitor with split screen (Duet Display + Screens + Mazec handwriting keyboard)
This video shows a hack to get split screen working while using your iPad as a second monitor. This requires the apps Screens and Duet Display. If you want to enter text directly into Mac apps, you'll also need download the Mazec keyboard on your iPad. So, here's how the trick works. 1. You start up Duet normally (This creates a new monitor on your Mac that corresponds to your Ipad.) 2. Launch Screens (This remotely controls your mac) 3. Choose the Duet monitor from the menu in the bottom right Because iOS doesn't kill Duet right away, it seems that Screens is able to take over the Airplay monitor that Duet set up for your iPad.
