For "The Errand Prince", they delivered a package from Cindy to the motel owner. They found a Mystery Map that gave them the sidequest "Scraps of Mystery I", and they accepted a quest from Dave: "Gone Hunting". They will handle these quests and then head south to Galdin Quay to continue "The Errand Prince". Since I played last, version 1.23 was installed, and I picked up the Royal Pack expansion. At the Longwythe item shop, Noctis picks up the "Memories of FFII" album (time 1:32). Then, the party heads north of the rest area into the Longwythe Peak area in search of the dog tag for "Gone Hunting". They come upon the remains of a camp in a rocky area (time 2:33). As they check it out, they hear the noise of some monsters in the distance. In the vicinity, there is a food spot for Sweet Peppers (time 2:56). There is also a mineral deposit on a ridge to the southeast (time 3:25). It yields Whitestone, Yellowstone, and Redstone Shards. At the next waypoint for the quest, the party comes upon a pack of Level 2 Sabertusks (time 3:52). Shouldn't be too difficult. Nearby, they finally find the Broken Dog Tag (time 4:37). According to the description, it belongs to a Jim Melmond. Could this be a reference to Melmond in the original Final Fantasy? This goes back to Dave. Back at Longwythe Rest Area, they turn in the Broken Dog Tag to Dave (time 5:38). Each party member earns 500 EXP, and the party gets 10 Hi-Potions. "Gone Hunting" complete! Next, the party climbs into the Regalia (time 6:48). They head for the quest location for "Scraps of Mystery I". This takes them to the Balouve Mines parking spot a little southeast of town. Along the way, there is a radio broadcast with Lady Lunafreya. There is another Sweet Pepper food spot just northwest of the parking spot (time 8:52). In the nearby destroyed building, there are spots for a Bronze Bangle and a Fossil Wood (time 9:13). Noctis cooks up some Blizzard spells to put in his empty Magic Flask. He refills his ice energy at an elemental deposit to the north. The party makes camp at the Emmelle Haven campground (time 10:43). Prompto reaches Photography Level 3 and gains the Memory Filter. In the morning, they talk about Prompto's picture-taking (time 12:29). There seems not to be a camp tour here. Down the slope west of the parking spot, they find a treasure spot (time 13:26). It yields a Hi-Elixir. Yes, please! Just a couple of steps from the treasure spot, they also find the target spot for "Scraps of Mystery I" (time 13:33). It yields not treasure but "Sylvester's Map Piece A". The party will have to find more map pieces to put together the map. Under some overhead pipes east of the main road, the party finds a Sharp Bone (time 14:21). On the west side of the road, there is a food spot (time 14:40). It yields Eos Green Peas. The party fast-travels back to the Balouve Mines parking spot. Past a building southeast of the parking spot, there is a treasure spot amid some barrels (time 15:53). It yields a Remedy. Along some tracks to the east, the party finds the entrance to the Balouve Mines dungeon (time 16:15). Right at the entrance, they find a woman named Sania. They will become better acquainted with this strange lady later, but she warns them that they will need a key to penetrate its depths. Best to keep out for now. The party gets in the Regalia and finally sets out for Galdin Quay (time 17:32). It is the current destination for "The Errand Prince". Along the way, they find a valuable treasure spot that yields a Megalixir (time 19:03). They next pull over at the Vennaugh Haven campground. Southwest of the haven, they find a food spot for Aegir Roots (time 20:23). Against the cliff to the south, there is a food spot for Eos Green Peas (time 20:49). At the Vennaugh Haven, Noctis goes into Ascension (time 21:31). Under Techniques, he spends 18 AP on Ignis's Enhancement tech. This is an excellent technique that gives Noctis's weapon the element his target is weakest to. He also spends 8 AP on Gladiolus's Dawnhammer tech. The party rests at Vennaugh Haven (time 22:17). Again, there is not a camp tour here. In the morning, the party talks about the view in the wild. The description is continued in the comments.
