Mastering Assistant Overview Once you create rough mix, it's time to bounce (export) your project as single audio file. Before you bounce your project, you could try using Mastering Assistant, plugin which was introduced as part of Logic update. Mastering is final stage in music production before distribution that involves final polishing of mix and pushing loudness to competitive level. Mastering Assistant in Logic condenses process of creating mastering chain into single plugin. It allows us to adjust EQ, stereo spread and loudness of our mix and optimises loudness. It is important to note however, that optimal loudness can vary depending on style of music. Experimenting with Mastering Assistant is good starting point to familiarise yourself with concept of mastering and practise adjusting important parameters.
