Massive PORSCHE lockout in Russia, December 2025 A massive malfunction has occurred with Porsche vehicles in Russia: the cars won't start. "Due to restrictions (manufacturer or Roskomnadzor) and blocking of certain communication channels." Porsche owners in Russia have complained of a software glitch. Some cars are suddenly locking up. The glitch affects all Porsche models produced after 2013. They are equipped with a factory-installed VTS (Vehicle Tracking System) satellite alarm system, which prevents the car from starting. This is Porsche's signature "spyware" security system, which monitors the car via satellite. And then, as if on cue, this system suddenly decided that all Russian Porsches had been stolen and digitally blocked them.
