The Notre Dame Law School Religious Liberty Initiative hosted a book discussion featuring Michael Breidenbach, author of the recently published “Our Dear-Bought Liberty: Catholics and Religious Toleration in Early America.” (Harvard University Press, 2021) Michael D. Breidenbach is Associate Professor of History at Ave Maria University and co-editor of The Cambridge Companion to the First Amendment and Religious Liberty. His writing has appeared in the Washington Post, The Atlantic, and First Things.
