Mystic Faith as Theory talk 0 210 AAA Annual Meeting 2022
My presentation on "mystic faith as theory" for the 2022 annual meeting of the American Anthropological Association, Nov 9-13, as a view on demand talk (nr. 0-210). Drawing on field research within the Transcendental Meditation movement, I briefly outline the case in favor of cosmic consciousness theory and argue for a more serious engagement with the "mystical evidence regime" of knowing by experiencing; that is exploring the self and the external world by means of consicousness in its altered states.
