HOW TO stop the grey internet icon constantly flashing on LG Blu-ray player / home theatre system
So I'm had this problem for months - a grey internet icon constantly flashing on the top right of the screen while I've been trying to watch movies, plus my player locking up from time to time. Factory resetting the player did nothing, as did updating and downgrading the firmware, and LG tech support were unable to help. It looks like the Wi-Fi hardware of my player was the cause of the fault (that's why I'm now hardwired in) but the fix turned out to be pretty simple - I just disconnected everything from the player, set it up in a different room and did a factory reset. It's now back in the original location, all speakers and HDMI cables connected and it's seemed to have done the trick because it's been working fine now for a few days. The model of my LG player / home theatre is BH7430 but if you're having a problem on another LG model, try giving this solution a go.
