On sunday 11.7 NYC Coalition to Stop Islamophobia called for an emergency counter-protest against the JDL who were gathering by the proposed Park51 Islamic Center to denounce it's construction as well as foster hatred for all Muslims. This day marked the 20 year date that Meir Kahane, their leader, was killed. 35 activists showed up to say Yes! to support our Muslim and Arab brothers and sisters.
