Tetris Music - Apple IIGS Version

This is the music and still screenshots from the Apple IIGS version of Tetris by Spectrum Holobyte © 1987. The first longer song is the intro and credits, and then the remaining 10 levels (actually levels 0-9). The scoring, level information, and other text was turned off leaving only the game box and background images. This is still my personal favorite version of the game, despite the crude graphics and music (though at the time it was rather advanced). The piece movement is very responsive, but more than some later ports, there's a huge amount of hover time, allowing you to slide the pieces around for nearly a full second before they lock into place. That comes in very handy for the horrendously fast final level. This game also has no soft drop, only a hard drop, which can make sliding pieces into place at the bottom of the screen on early levels a bit time consuming. While there is no copy protection per se on the 3.5" diskette, the game still requires you to have a copy of the manual, asking you to input a word from it (such as page 4, line 5, word 8) before it will start.
