Construction of Amur GCC in March 2021
As part of the Amur GCC project (a SIBUR and Sinopec joint venture), piling has been underway at all technological facilities. The installation of piles for the steam cracker furnaces and the two main racks is nearing completion, and piling at the High-Pressure Steam Boilers has been completed. The installation of piles for the process train, piperacks, and the polymer plant electrical substation is continuing. The construction of reinforced concrete grillage foundations for storage silos at the logistics site is underway, and ahead of schedule. The engineering preparation for storage facilities is 99.8% done, more than a third of their slab foundations have been installed, and the construction of temporary fences is being done at the moment. The Company has launched its own concrete production at two mortar plants with a capacity of 220 cubic metres of concrete per hour. A specialised barge, Tomsk, has been built, launched and is now going through trials in order to deliver the largest columns of the Amur GCC, weighing 1,500 tonnes and 1,200 tonnes. Construction of the PS-220 electrical substation is being completed, and pre-commissioning work is being carried out. Layout planning for the site of construction of camps for Amur GCC employees, which will accommodate 320 engineering and technical workers, is 95% complete. 546 personnel and 124 units of machinery have been mobilised for the construction of the project
