First premiering on Broadway in 2016, Lin-Manuel Miranda’s "Hamilton" took the world by storm. Just as the production of "Hamilton" tells the story of an often-forgotten founding father, Victoria McCraven, the 2020-2021 Romare Bearden Graduate Museum Fellow, will explore the narratives of two historically marginalized figures of the same period as "Hamilton", Ona Judge and Billy Lee, while putting their legacies in conversation with that of the well-known historical figure George Washington.
