CoD: Ghosts Menu Lag, Stutter and Freezes issue
UPDATE: 11/15/13 It still has not been fixed. All menus still lag. The only fix is to go "offline" on steam, which isn't viable if you want to play with friends. I've had numerous talks with both Activision support and Steam support. Both state that it is not their issue and blame one another. I might create a pastebin link with all conversations. There is nothing in the works to fix it Since its release CoD Ghosts has completely been hell for PC users. Several people run the game smooth as butter, but unfortunately I am not one of those people. I have one major issue that directly affects the way I play the game: All menus in CoD Ghosts lag, stutter and freeze. I've monitored the menus through the simple task manager and I've come to a conclusion that there is a major CPU management flaw in which the Steam Bootstrapper continuously attempts to hog CPU resources. This only occurs in CoD Ghosts and on menus. In this test I show that when the CPU percentage goes above 5% the menus will freeze and drop to one frame per second. It does not do this in Blops2, and it does not do it once you are in game via CoD Ghosts. If anyone has anymore experience in why this is occurring that would be fantastic. I would like to get this fixed ASAP, but Activision support still has no answer for me. My ticket with them is currently unresolved and still open. Thanks!
