Conrad Advent Calendar IoT (NodeESP, Espressif ESP32): Day 1 & 2

I myself almost gave up on day 2. A lot of my difficulties stemmed from the fact that this “project” is from 2018. So an online update of that board’s firmware failed miserably and hunting down the right firmware version was quite a feat. Nevertheless, I saw the light at the end of the tunnel and in the end a lot of potential to learn something about the internet of things. So there will be more installments in this series. For now, amuse yourself watching me getting really frustrated. 00:00 Preface – it was a bumpy ride 01:11 Intro – and preface (1st take) from happier times 02:29 Day 1 – WLAN access and configuration 08:00 Day 2 part 1 – firmware update gone wrong, board died 12:58 Days 3 to 24 – just opening the calendar windows for the parts 20:40 Day 2 part 2 – successful firmware update, onboard LED color change app 26:18 Outlook – more software configuration and installation coming Reviews: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLwq-2MnM58FIJjuha_h96kWhQR9aSmeAN Tutorials: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLwq-2MnM58FKn3920rc1V0qoTsQDheTIw Conrad & Maker Factory Advent Calendars Arduino & IoT – Day 1 (Partial): https://youtu.be/2WiYeMVYGGs “(Deutsch) NodeESP Firmware Reinstallieren” (firmware reinstallation, German only): https://iot.fkainka.de/en/nodeesp-firmware-reinstallieren CH340G USB-to-Serial driver page: https://iot.fkainka.de/en/driver Flash Tool (Espressif ESP8266 & ESP32): https://www.espressif.com/en/support/download/other-tools Current, unusable (!) firmware: http://ota.fkainka.de/ESP32_FW.bin Working firmware: http://ota.fkainka.de/ESP32_FW_1v3_161218.bin #robertssmorgasbord #review #test #tutorial #adventcalendar #adventcalendar2019 #internetofthings #iot #esp32
