Gustav Lange: Blumenlied (Mélodie) Op. 39
The German composer Gustav Lange (1830-89) was extremely popular in the 19th c for his many salon pieces. Together with 'Edelweiss' this 'Flower Song' is his best-known, and remains very popular even today. I first recorded this piece in September 2007 on my old equipment, but several commentators found my rendition too fast. Here is my new (June 2009) recording of the piece, which I hope is more laid back, and certainly has better sound! Thanks for watching!
