GoPro Hero 3 Black vs Sony Action Cam HDR-AS15
GoPro Hero3 Black firmware 3.03.03 vs Sony Action cam firmware 3.0 Both in 1080p 60 fps Personally I think the sony produces sharper image but the videos produced by GoPro look more pleasing and look nicer in general. Although I should mention that sony action cam has the upper hand when it comes to low light quality, unfortunately I didn't get the time to compare the two side by side in low light situations, but I can assure you that the sony performs better in those scenarios. Also the sony's anti shaking feature performs amazingly well. When I had them mounted on my motorbike the GoPro's videos were a bit too shaky whereas by enabling the sony's anti shaking feature, the produced videos looked a lot smoother, unfortunately the 'steady' feature only works at 120 degrees field of view instead of the wider 170 degrees. Both cameras were inside their waterproof casings while these videos were being taken. Amazing cameras can't go wrong with either of them
