Cyberpunk 2077 Fake(?) Ray/Path Tracing Shenanigans (Read Desc)

Can someone explain HOW ray tracing and path tracing - which should, as we know, calculate the physical properties of how photons work in the real world... ...well, how is that even capable of ""reflecting"" a reflection with missing/debug textures, that are clearly not on the reflected material. Something broke internally, and verifying the game files through GOG updated 37MB of whatever was missing and fixed the appearance - but that still doesn't explain how that could even happen in the first place. Otherwise this area nicely showcases the issues that arise from limited ray bounces - because glass *through* other glass doesn't display properly - I completely understand that, cause calculating that properly with multiple bounces would have a *severe* hit on performance, when there are few areas like these full-glass towers in the game anyways. Kinda like multiple overlaid alpha transparencies can be iffy in games (and are, too, in Cyberpunk - like e.g. looking at the glass of the highway nearby, through those giant blurry glass panes, to the left of these yoga/zen towers).
